Depending upon the size and location, the system should pay for itself in 6-10 years, sometimes less. Most solar panels are certified and warranted to still function at 80-92% efficiency after 20 to 25 years. The state of New Mexico offers a 10% tax credit not to exceed $9000 or $7,000 if you take the Federal Credit. The Federal Government offers a 30% tax credit.

Solar power is also good for Retirement Planning. Wouldn't it be nice to reduce your monthly overhead for your "Golden Years"? Through a contractual program with the electric utility called "Net Metering", the electric company has to either credit or pay YOU for the unused power you generate!
