 Las Cruces Home Sales Jump in August!

Breaking out of its slump, Las Cruces showed strong growth in August 2011 vs August 2010.  Sold units increased 14.4%!  Total sales volume increased 6%.

While one month is not a trend, we find this to be significant given the absence of any strong or positive national economic news.  

Below is a link to a news story & brief video that is worth watching.   I believe Las Cruces is catching on nationally!  The 2010 census revealed a 30% growth in Las Cruces compared to the 2000 census numbers.

August 2010:

  Units:  97

  Dollar Volume:  $17,425,380

  Median:  $164,000

 August 2011:

  Units:  111 (increase of 14.4%)

  Dollar Volume:  $18,493,700 (increase of 6%)

  Median:  $145,199

Aug. 2011 Sold Listings:  42%  (an increase of 24%!)
